The "Quick Search" box allows you view  items based on the keyword or words you enter in the search box. The more words you enter, the more focused your search is, and will return fewer results.

As an example, say you enter "tractor", this will return every item that has the word tractor in the description field of that item. Now if we add  the word "precision" and enter "precision tractor" your results will go from 150 items to 9.

Another example..you enter "license plate"..this will return approx  12 items. If you add "black" and enter "black license plate" you will return 5 items.

Every word you enter in the search box has to be in the description fields of our database. In other words this is an "and" search. When you enter "black license plate" the database sees it as..  find "black and license and plate"  not as find "black or license or plate".

Do not use plural words. Let's say you want to see all the tractors. If you type in the word "tractors" into the box, it will return very few results. Now try the word "tractor", and you will see alot more results. This is because the search is looking for exactly what you enter. If you enter the word "tractors", it looks for anything in our description that may contain the word "tractors", like a playset. If you enter the word "tractor", it will look for any description with the word "tractor", which would result in more search results.

Keep it simple! Entering a single keyword is more likely to return the results you are looking for. For example, Bob just did a search for the words "lawn mower", hoping to find the model he himself manicures his lawn with. Bob failed at finding his model. The model Bob was looking for is available, but its description reads "X728 Lawn & Garden Tractor". Bob's search told us to look for anything containing the words "lawn mower", which we didn't find. If Bob had simplified his search to just one word, such as "lawn", or "mower", or "tractor", he may have found his model lawn mower. Luckily for Bob, he called to ask, and we shipped him the lawn mower anyway! Kudos Bob :)

Hope this has helped you.
